Modernising employee experiences at the world’s largest transhipment hub

PSA (formerly the Ports Authority of Singapore) operates the world’s largest, most advanced transhipment hub. It employs over 20,000 people and is resolved to leading the world in logistics innovation.

Wanting to modernise its internal systems (formerly built in Xamarin which was approaching EOL) for greater usability, security and maintainability, they invited us in for a look.

Future-proofing was the goal: redesigning and rebuilding the application architecture, seamlessly integrating with existing ERP systems, enhancing UX and hardening security, scalable deployment of Microsoft Azure.

Rebuilding it from the ground up some of the features we delivered include leave application management, payslip access, cost claims and flexible benefits and contact information updates. With full deployment on the Microsoft Azure infrastructure and compliance with corporate IT policies.

The internal app received outstanding feedback from users and stakeholders with far higher adoption rates and streamlined internal processes between departments on the back of the improved stability, speed and usability we delivered.

We were invited to conceptualise, design and develop a second custom application, this time specifically for the port’s workers which we built on the same React stack and Azure environment.
